Resume Tool Testing Lab
Compare resume and ATS tools with the same source resume and job descriptions, then export a transparent evidence record.
Purpose: this lab publishes the method before results. It does not imply that WealthyWorker has completed product testing. Use anonymized, non-confidential sample data.
Testing matrix
Add one row per tool and job-description test. Record recommendations as evidence, not as hiring predictions.
| Tool | Job description | Score/output | Useful suggestions | False or unsafe suggestions | Export issues | Minutes |
|---|
Add the first controlled test to begin.
Run the comparison consistently
- Create one anonymized baseline resume containing only verified facts.
- Select job descriptions with different employers but the same role family.
- Use unchanged source files in every tool.
- Classify each recommendation as useful, irrelevant, false positive or unsafe exaggeration.
- Inspect exported files for text extraction, hierarchy and mobile readability.
- Repeat tests after meaningful product changes and preserve the date and plan tested.
What to publish when results exist
- Number of tools and job descriptions tested.
- Exact dates, plans and settings.
- Original screenshots with personal information removed.
- Aggregated results plus examples of accepted and rejected suggestions.
- Limitations that prevent broad conclusions.
