Do not compare the sticker prices without estimating duration. Four weekly payments total $52, which is materially more than one $29 monthly payment. A one-week sprint can still make the weekly option rational; a search likely to continue for a month or longer generally deserves a monthly-versus-quarterly cost check before purchase.

There is no standard Teal+ credit-card free trial

Teal says it does not offer a conventional Teal+ trial that starts after entering payment information. Instead, the free version exposes limited access to premium-style features so users can decide whether they need more before subscribing.

That does not change the overall Free-versus-Plus decision: free AI usage is limited and Teal+ is unlimited. But it is a good reason not to publish a hard promise about the exact free credit count. Check the counter shown inside your own Teal account before deciding that a credit limit justifies upgrading.

When Teal Free is probably enough
